At Ridecaro, we value your privacy and are committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. This Data Deletion Policy outlines the process by which you can request the deletion of your personal data from our systems.

  1. Types of Data Eligible for Deletion

Customers have the right to request the deletion of the following types of personal data:

  • Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other personal identifiers.
  • Payment Information: Saved payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card details).
  • Ride History: Records of past trips, including pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Communication Logs: Correspondence with customer support, feedback, and in-app messages.
  • Location Data: GPS data related to past rides.
  1. Data Not Eligible for Deletion

Certain types of data are not eligible for deletion due to legal or operational requirements, including:

  • Transaction Records: Records of transactions, such as completed rides and payment receipts, which are retained for accounting, taxation, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Anonymized Data: Data that has been anonymized or aggregated for analytical purposes, which cannot be traced back to an individual user.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: Any data required to be retained to comply with local laws, regulations, or legal proceedings.
  1. Data Deletion Request Procedure
  • Submission of Request: Users can request the deletion of their data by contacting our support team via the “Privacy” section in the app or by sending an email to support@ridecaro.com.
  • Verification: To protect your privacy, we may require verification of your identity before processing your request. This could include providing proof of identity or answering security questions.
  • Processing Time: Upon verification, we will process your request within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the data has been deleted from our systems.
  • Confirmation: After processing your request, you will receive a confirmation email stating that your data has been deleted.
  1. Impact of Data Deletion
  • Account Deactivation: Deleting your personal data will result in the deactivation of your Ride Caro account. You will not be able to access any previous ride history, payment information, or saved preferences.
  • Irreversibility: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Ride Caro services again in the future.
  1. Retention Period for Backup Data

Backup data is retained for a period of 90 days after the deletion request to ensure system integrity and data recovery in the case of technical failures. This data is inaccessible to Ride Caro staff and is automatically deleted after 90 days.

  1. Policy Changes

Ride Caro reserves the right to modify this Data Deletion Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or app notification and will become effective upon posting.
